Volunteer Opportunities

1-on-1 Companionship

Flexible Hours

One-on-one companionship — even if just a few hours a month — is very important for the people we support. Plus, it’s a lot of fun! Volunteers can go for walks, shop at the mall, or watch movies. You and the person you are volunteering with decide what you will do!

Game Night

Flexible Hours

This activity is usually with a few of the people we support, and not 1-on-1 volunteering.  Bingo, card games, or other relaxing games are always a good time!

Painting

Job-specific Hours

We routinely have to paint interior rooms to cover up wear and tear that occurs at our group homes. Occasionally we also need outdoor paint jobs as well, which are typically completed in the fall.

Cookie Baking

Early December

Volunteer bakers donate cookies and other family favorite treats to our “Cookie Classic” fundraiser event that takes place the 2nd Saturday of December.  Email us at info@bearcreekservices.org if you would like to donate some treats!

Yard Beautification

Flexible Hours

We need volunteers to help rake leaves, pull weeds, plant flowers, trim bushes and more to make our group homes look presentable in the community.

Holiday Volunteering

Flexible Hours

We are looking for help with a variety of holiday activities including carolers to head out with our residents to sing, as well as bakers who can help our residents learn to make cookies.
