Bear Creek Services is actively in search of a Community Engagement Coordinator to work with community members to engage with Bear Creek Services both financially and personally.

Position Overview:

The Marketing and Development Director strategizes and executes plans to enhance the organization’s visibility and attract supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate fundraising events for the organization, including vendors and volunteers.
Enlist, organize, and oversee committees associated with events.
Assist in staff, agency, and fundraising events.
Participate in agency Committees and perform tasks as assigned.
Promote events and assist the Development Director with needs associated with fundraising.
Draft, edit, support, and assist in the preparation and dissemination of a variety of marketing materials (social, traditional, and digital).
Identify and stay up to date on social media trends.
Update social media content and respond to comments and messages.
Develop a relatable and consistent voice for the company, through external and internal communication platforms.
Manage development of graphic designs, promotional fliers, and advertising. Prepare, edit, and format fliers and other documents.
Assist the Marketing and Development Director with the management of the company’s external image.
Update the agency website with relevant information.
Communicate routinely with Executive Director on community engagement activities.

Experience and Education:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  2. Social media marketing experience preferred.
  3. Marketing or communications experience preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.

Established in 1976 by parents of children with developmental disabilities, the organization currently oversees 13 group homes and an independent living services program.
